Grant Number:
DLIA2008-21
Grant Amount:
$7,200
Project Type:
minigrant
Organism Group Sought:
Millipedes
Project Summary:

Project purpose is to identify millipede specimens and annotate the relative abundance, rarity, and habitat on each species where possible. Data is to be entered into the ATBI database.  These are specimens that have accumulated from various Park field inventories, the "Pilot Study" being the main contributor.  The primary investigator may or may not have contributed specimens, but is the main scientist responsible for identifying the individual specimens from this group of organisms.  The identifying of this group is a long and tedious process.  The taxonomists involved are to be commended for their dedication as well as their expertise.
